GWL is currently taking applications!! Have a look HERE at our new website. We would appreciate feedback on the new website.It is ~99% completed atm, but is fully operational. Global war League is a Campaign/tournament that consists of three sides.Blue ,Red & Taliban.The battles take place on Avgani island by Opteryx for Campaign1.Campaign1 will cosist of 10 battles.Each battle will have diffrent objectives all three sides.The objectives for each battle will reflect previous battles.Rather than fighting over "flags" all of the time GWL Opts to enhance every players overall gameplay experience by mixing zone captures with uniqe and dynamic Objectives.Who ever wins the most battles at the end will win the campaign gets to select wich side they want for the next campaign.The campaign takes place every saturday at 8:00pm est on the Global war League Battle server.Teamspeak is required.The IP will be given out after registration and signup.We train once a week on saturdays at 2:00pm pac.The training is not required but recommended as it's not about just "training" but also getting to know one another and one anothers capabilities/experience.In order to participate in GWL you must register with us and fill out a VERY simple application on the signup forums.There are 5 diffrent applications to choose from in the signup forums.Fill out one only: officers app,Armored division app,Mechanized infantry app,air force app and special forces app.Also you will need the GWL addon pack wich can be found HERE. How do I signup? *Go to globalwarleague.org, register and pick a side. iceman77 19 Posted August 4, 2008 <span style='color:#FF0000'>2008-08-03 ORIENTATION:</span>Done <span style='color:#FF0000'>2008-08-03 ORIENTATION DEBRIEF:</span>A total of 15 participants showed up to orientation..Most of them being Blue Team..After an overview of GWL-MIW and after familiarizing ourselves with the equitment at hand the participants opted for a scrimmage..We played 5 scrimms total..The Orientation Map itself was alot of fun!!I think there were only 2 complaints about the realism.I.E.The taliban will not be having Armor,Air,unlimited sniper rifles/AT...Choosing a taliban role in GWL will be a challenge and should only be picked if you are looking for a challenge...it can be very fun though.With all that being said I can say that GWL-MIW had a good start..as I realize the advertising was short notice and should have been steadily advertising for this campaign..It just took us a while to get things together.. <span style='color:#FF4000'>B1 C1</span> <span style='color:#FF4000'>BATTLE1 CAMPAIGN1 Start:</span>2008-08-10 <span style='color:#FF4000'>MAP LAYOUT:</span> <span style='color:#FF4000'>MAP TYPE OVERVIEW:</span> This is a Zone Capture map with a twist..The taliban will start in town (at the mosque).The U.S. will start just south of Avgani..With the geneva convention in effect here there will be no shooting at or towards the Mosque (also for spawning reasons no doubt )..the taliban and the U.S. are going to be fighting for east Avgani..there are a total of three zones to capture..one of witch being the most vital of the three and that zone is the radio command post..here ,if the americans take it over they can use the Mando Bomb console to reign hell down on the taliban..if the taliban owns the radio command post then the only reward they get is not being shredded by the Bomb Console..the taliban CAN NOT use the console...Who knows, mabey real soon the Syrians may get involved..and they DO have some arsenal!!... <span style='color:#FF4000'>MISSION OVERVIEW:</span> East Avgani has become infested with taliban.The taliban leader Habeeb Akmad is a roothless criminal responsible for several roadside bombings and a number of other terrorist attacks here in Iraq..The U.S. are stalemated at the moment and are looking for any answer pertaining to the where abouts of Habeeb...With the recent terrorist Attacks in Avgani, habeeb is surely at the reigns..In order to bring peace to Avgani the United States must secure the town one sector at a time... <span style='color:#FF0000'>2008-08-010 Battle1 Campaign1:</span>Done <span style='color:#FF0000'>2008-08-010 Battle1 Campaign1:</span>Debrief Aside from the taliban CO not showing up all went well.20 participants showed upvready for war!!The U.S. forces seemed to dominate the first segment of battle1..The firefights were very intense..the taliban prevailed in the end to win battle..the radio station did play a key role in as the mando bomb console shredded through the taliban at the beggining..After a while it seemed the U.S. just couldn't get past taliban ambushes of IEDS and RPGs..they were well dug in ,in and around south avgani...east Avgani belongs to the taliban..Lets see if the U.S. can rebound in battle2.. <span style='color:#00FF00'>B2 C1</span> <span style='color:#00FF00'>BATTLE2 CAMPAIGN1 Start:</span>2008-08-17 <span style='color:#00FF00'>MAP LAYOUT:</span> <span style='color:#00FF00'>MAP TYPE OVERVIEW:</span> This is a Zone Capture map with a twist..The taliban will start in town (at the mosque).The U.S. will start just South of Avgani..With the geneva convention in effect here there will be no shooting at or towards the Mosque (also for spawning reasons no doubt )..the taliban and the U.S. are going to be fighting for central Avgani..there are a total of three zones to capture..There are no "special" sectors for battle2..the radio outpost was lost completeley for the U.S... <span style='color:#00FF00'>MISSION OVERVIEW:</span> East Avgani is still infested with taliban.The taliban leader Habeeb Akmad was no where to be found after extensive searching...The U.S. are still stalemated and are still looking for any answer pertaining to the where abouts of Habeeb...It appears the taliban have shifted their efforts and are infesting central Avgani...lets see if the U.S. team can prevail and take over central Avgani..if they succeed this will bring the battle back to east Avgani..lets see what happens...
