Synide 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Hi, I'm curious about other peoples experience with getting clutter working. Do you have it working on your island? Is your island binarized? Is your island built inside the \ca namespace or not? Are you using completely 'new' terrain textures with BIS default clutters? The, reason I ask is that I can get everything working with regards ladders, Land_ buildings, Animations, UserAnims on both unbinarized & binarized islands both inside & outside of the \ca namespace... However, I'm having issues with 'clutter'... Do you have an example island with working clutter I can pull apart to compare? Is there some issue I missed somewhere regarding clutter? cheers
dmarkwick 261 Posted June 3, 2008 I had a few problems with clutter but I did manage to get it working. All custom clutter, no defaults. Map is PBOd but not binarised. Map is NOT in the \ca path. Take apart the Schmalfden (sp) map and look at the config there. I think that was the example I looked at.
Synide 0 Posted June 3, 2008 Cheers, thanks... that's all I need to know... yes, looking over some other island configs just now...
Linker Split 0 Posted June 4, 2008 Got clutters working in my HDT island... sometime they don't appear due to some config errors (i.e. Some class names don't match) btw... you said anims: do you have RTMs on objects working? Or animations via animationsource?
Synide 0 Posted June 4, 2008 you mean like on the 'vysilac_FM2.p3d' rtm? Yes, now that I double checked my config.cpp I now have clutter working properly, 'static' anims, building rtm's, user activated anims all working fine... all built outside the P:\ca\ namespace prefix under P:\Synide. Oh, and all binarized. It's just a question of setting up your folders well, running BinPBO with appropriate settings, and most importantly having a clean and well constructed (inheritance wise) config.cpp for your stuff.
