Can we reduce the number of bots in WARFARE?

Recommended Posts

Warfare is amazing, I loved it! Thanks BI for this great addition! That is what I was searching for... although the game became very hevy and there is a big frame rate drop after a few minutes playing. I start Warfare with 80 Fps, but after a few minutes, when there are tons of bots playing my FPS drops to 30. I noticed that it is possible to reduce the squad number, but the bots keep respawing.

Anyone knows if by any way is possible to reduce to bots count?

my config is below:

Vista x64

Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz

4 GB Ram

SLI 2x EVGA 8800 GT KO

Cheers!

Something must be wrong with your PC. I've got a similar setup:

XP

Q6600 2.4GHz

4GB Ram

8800GTX

And I run around 70 FPS throughout the entire game. My options are all set to Normal, and I couldn't be happier. Also, taking into account that the skill set of the AI in towns is very low. I mean a single AI under your command would wipe out 20 of the Resistance AI. So reducing the amount of AI in the towns, would, in my opinion, ruin a lot of the fun that goes into taking the towns. It's awesome when hell breaks loose and theres gunshots erupting everywhere with explosions left and right.

Mattoso - were you running the server yourself, or joining somebody else's server?

If it's your server, it can help to run a dedicated server on your PC, start ArmA client as normal, and join your dedicated server...with a multi-core system you split the load better that way.

Hey guys, thanks to Victor, TRACY and ShrubMiK for the replies.

>> TRACY, my GPU temps are around 59 Celsius. I run it with 100% of the cooler speed and also I'd put an extra cooler just above the both GPUs. Temps seens to be fine.

>> ShrubMiK, that makes a lot of sense! I imagined that the problem could be related to the core processing instead of the GPU processing. When the frame rated dropped I tweaked the video options but nothing really helped, so, it is the AI that is consuming my system. Will try this night your suggestion, let you know later how it goes. Tks!

Wow!!! That is so hard to create a server! And even reading the forum the the Wiki for about 1 hour I failed... banghead.gif

Can you or someone please help me in creating my server?

Below are my execution parameters and the server config:

PS:What is the name of the warfare mission I should put on the configuration?

C:\Jogos\ArmA\arma_server.exe -config=server.cfg -cfg=arma.cfg -profiles=profiles -port=2302 -netlog -mod=DBE1;@General;@Flares
