NVIDIA GeForce 175.16 WHQL drivers

Recommended Posts

1.12 starts to lag down really really bad after a few minutes, until it's unplayable. My friend has the same problem.

That sounds suspiciously like a memory-leak problem to me, though I don't know anyone else who has experienced this. You say your mate has the same problem - so it seems that the cause may be the same on both your systems.

Is there any specific software you two are using? Also could you post your full system specs, and your friend's?

Maybe the maxmem parameter would help... I haven't actually used it myself, so I'm not sure what exactly it does - but I've read that it's helped a lot of people. Perhaps just try -maxmem=512 out and see if it makes any difference.

I used it (-maxmem=1024) to good affect to cure the out of memory CTDs' that cropped up for me w/v1.12b.

Regarding the new ForceWare, I applied 175.16 (from 163.75) and cannot notice any difference... pro or con.

Asus P5N32-E SLI (1404), Intel C2E QX6700, Crucial Ballistix 4GB PC2-8500, 2xWestern Digital WD1500ADFD, EVGA P2-N831-AR 8800GTX (175.16), Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi-XG (02_09_2007) - MS Win XP Pro SP3 OEM SB (D/B) - ArmA:CO@v1.12b (v1.14 pending)

I had to uninstall 175.16 and go back to 169.21 for x64. My display looked like someone had been coloring in with felt tips. After reverting back all is fine. But for Vista x64 the 175.16 worked like a charm.

My system: Quad core 6600, 4 Gig @1066, Asus P5K Deluxe Wifi AP, XFI Gamer, Asus 8800GTX....etc etc. OS Windows x64 & Vista Home Premium x64.

Running at 1680*1050 everything on high inc' aliasing. Runs loverly.  wink_o.gif
