Multiplayer problem

When I try to get into the game it tells me

"Bad version, server rejected connection."

Is it me am i missing something if someone can help i would appreciate it thankyou.

What version of ArmA are you running, has it been patched to the latest version?

you know what this is right out of the box without the patches

All the servers I have seen are version 1.08 and up.

Still the unanswered question of "what version are you running"?

(Mine says the version on the bottom left hand side of screen once you make it to the menu)

You might need to patch it to the latest version then my friend, look here, or here. Note, if you've never patched your game you will need to go to 1.05>1.08 ... any more questions just ask.

The Version I am running is 1.04 now i downloaded the 1.05-1.08 version and unzipped the files but there is an error that pops up telling me I have the wrong versionof 1.04 to run 1.05.

Now i do have vista so im going to check that thread again to see if the answer maybe in there.

Since you're running 1.04, you can't install the 1.05->1.08 update yet.

First you need to update to 1.05. After that you can install the 1.08 patch.
