Nvidia and opengl

Recommended Posts

OFP won't load for me in OpenGL settings. I've got a 32meg nVidia GeForce2, all the driver updates. I know the OpenGL for the card works fine, it runs perfectly with Wolfenstein, Quake3 and Counter-Strike.

I also have a 1.0 Athlon, 256 RAM (WinXP), and I'm sorry I bought OFP 'cause it'll only run well in 640x480 DirectX mode. mad.gif

Can anybody help me salvage this game?

ummmmmm, dude, Glide is not openGL. Glide is for 3dfx based graohics cards. Anyway, to try and fix your resolustion problem. Try reinstalling your monitor drivers so they match your monitors specs.

Yeah, just set it to Direct3D at something like 1024x768x32bit color

What kind of problems do you have with higher resolutions?

I'm having problems with a slow mouse (I've set the frames rendered ahead in NvMax to 1) and in general, the gameplay is too slow in the high graphics settings.

Are there any other tweaks with NvMax that could help?

set your pre-render at 3 in your v-sync settings (at the most) for both direct3d and for opengl. Also make sure you have your vertical retrace set to off.

-pre-render limit should be one, to cause the lowest amount of mouse lagging

-it's vertical synchronization

Which is also know as "synchronization with vertical retrace". As yes you are correct 1 will speed up the mouse, but difference between 1 and 3 should not be that drastic causing this problem.
