PTV-Jobo 820 Posted April 6, 2008 Hey guys, I'm having some problems that are really doing my head in big time. Now mind you, this is the first server I'm messing with. When I had a AAO, a few friends took care of the technical crap, so be gentle for my stupidity. Anyway, I dropped all the keys from all my mods in the keys folder and uploaded them to the server's keys folder. Uploaded all the mod folders that I wanted to test and made sure all the correct files were in all the folders and launched the server via Yoma's launcher. Connected and got kicked with the following error message: Now mind you I got the exact same error/kick but for NWD's addons and SLX's vehicles. The following mods/addons were installed onto the server: -------------------- ECS FFN Replacement (the side steppy thing) Six Pack 1 Six Pack 2 RUG_DSAI Arma Effects DM Smoke Effects CMCD 1ID US Infantry / replacements (all in the same mod folder instead of two separate mod folders) Real M136 NWD Ballistics and NWD Scopefix (haven't tried uploading the tank one for this obvious reason right now) SLX Vehicles -------------------- Here's the server command line as well: Quote[/b] ]ArmA_Server.exe -server -config=server2360.cfg -netlog -port=2360 -mod=beta;DBE1;@ECS;@FFN_REPLACEMENT;@SIX_Pack1;@SIX_Pack2;@RUG_DSAI;@ArmAEffects;@DMSmokeEffects;@CMCD_1ID_US_INF_REPLACEMENTS;@Real_M136_Extended;@NWD_Ballistics;@NWD_ScopeFix;@SLX_Ve hicles Any help you guys could offer would be so much appreciated. thanks a bunch in advance! -John
killswitch 19 Posted April 6, 2008 The reason you're getting kicked is that the three addons in the dialog in the screenshot are unsigned. A server that has verifySignatures=1 won't accept clients that connect with unsigned addons. Reference: ArmA: Addon signatures There are three options: <ul>[*] Ask the authors of those addons to sign their addons and distribute them with their respective public keys. [*] Remove those addons from your server and client. [*] Disable signature verification on your server.
PTV-Jobo 820 Posted April 6, 2008 Thanks for taking the time to respond, mate. Really appreciated that. Yeah, that's what I didn't understand. I disabled most of them and tried like just Six Pack 1, or the ones I know have been signed/have their keys and still get kicked with the same error. I'm gonna try re-uploading the ones that were definitely signed and try again, just in case if things got corrupted during FTP'ing them to the server. If I get the same thing again, I'll just say f**** it and disable the thing as you suggested. Thanks again man for responding, I was just about nearly to the point of leaping out of my front window--lol. By the way, since those aren't signed, wouldn't I or anyone else get kicked off of a non-dedi server? Like if I connected to my mate's computer or he to mine for a round or two? Because I've run those same mods that way without a hitch. Sorry, like I said, ArmA is the first time I'm having to learn all the technicalities (never played things like OFP, and such )
killswitch 19 Posted April 6, 2008 Thanks again man for responding, I was just about nearly to the point of leaping out of my front window--lol. Ouch. Please don't do that Quote[/b] ]By the way, since those aren't signed, wouldn't I or anyone else get kicked off of a non-dedi server? Double check and make sure all needed files for that one are present (the addon, the addon's .bisign file and the CMCD.bikey file). I'm pretty sure the Sakakah island addon hasn't been signed yet, though.
PTV-Jobo 820 Posted April 7, 2008 Hehe, I'll try not to this time. My buddy told me this morning that there was a problem with some files in the wrong place (not my fault btw), so I hope that's what caused it to go nuts too. If not I'll try your suggestions for sure, thanks again.
