Synide 0 Posted May 16, 2008 @hamis... I curious as to why you think it's necessary to unpack the characters.pbo AND then sqaush it back up again (after presumably you are making some changes)?? Synide 0 Posted May 19, 2008 Ok... well, you can technically do that... it's not really the way you should do it though. You are better off making an 'Addon' of your own that overides the BIS default stuff and uses your modified stuff in it's place. The benefits are that one doesn't end up 'harming' one's default BIS content or making it more time consuming altering your setup if you happen to go on pub servers with protection running and one's alterations are usually much smaller when repackaged back up into a .pbo. Also, you might think it's of benefit to let others in the ArmA community use it as well. I'm surprised you haven't worked this out as it's hard to miss in these forums how one goes about making an addon & overiding/extending the capabilities of the standard BIS content.
