sic-disaster 311 Posted February 11, 2008 Hello guys. I made a custom mission for Armed Assault. It requires the XAM 1.4 mod, best played on 1.09 beta patch. Now, this is the first real mission i've made for ArmA outside of just messing around in the editor. I know nothing about scripting, writing HTML stuff for a briefing and all that jazz. If someone can explain how the hell that stuff works, would be really sweet, but for now please dont attack me for it! I know its not done, but feedback would be greatly appreciated. http://www.freewebs.com/tacticalgamingrefuge/custommissionsplans.htm Some self-advertising for my website as well! check it out. Buzz_Fledderjohn 0 Posted February 11, 2008 This is pretty good for your first try. Had a few bugs (fps dropped when I entered the town too early), but overall it's a cool mission. I'm sure there are tutorials for the scripting stuff... opfec.com has 'em I believe. I play with the XAM mod too, makes it a heck of lot better. The sounds are amazing. sparks50 0 Posted February 11, 2008 Thanks for including addons in the mission, I was actually hoping for someone to make a sp mission for xam. I noticed one of the bmps had flipped at spawn, this happened both times I played for some reason: I played it on 1.08, that might be the reason. The whole relaxed patrol thingy at the start doesn't fit well to the environment sound effects of xam, but its a cool mission
sic-disaster 311 Posted February 11, 2008 Thanks for the feedback guys The BMP flipping over must be due to 1.08, cause i've never had it happen to me in 1.09. Only once during testing in the editor when i positioned it over a larger bush, but i fixed that and after that they worked fine. Could try the 1.09 beta patch and see if it works better Glad you like it anyway ^^
