-IC-Wedge 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Hi Guys I just got back from holiday and started work on my island again. I imported in my newest height make to make some minor height changes and my roads got all messed up. I cant seem to place new roads and the old ones look like this.. I have spent quite a few man hours on this and really need some help to slavage it. PLease if you know the issue then let me know how to resolve it Many thanks in advance Wedge
Planck 1 Posted February 4, 2008 No idea really about how your problem came about without seeing the pew, but, one thing you can try is to set the view menu so only road nets are visible. Next, select all, and then copy....... 'crtl-c'. Press delete to remove all the roads and then from the Edit Menu choose 'Paste Absolute'. This may not fix the problem but it is worth a try. -IC-Wedge 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Yeah actually i had tried that but no joy. I tried using the exporting and importing scripts without success. Not a happy bunny ...... Well if anyone knows what to do gimme a shout Thanks Wedge
Planck 1 Posted February 4, 2008 Only other thing I can suggest apart from letting me see your pew is to export each individual road net, keeping a note of the X and Y locations and the orientation for each key part for each net.........then delete the roads and replace the road nets one by one. Placing the relevant key part of the road net with the correct piece it used before and giving it the correct X and Y coordinate and orientation it had before.........then Import the road net for it. Edit: Try it with one road net to see if it works before doing them all. Planck
opteryx 1562 Posted February 4, 2008 Yep, I've experienced this bug quite a few times and was left with that solution, very annoying.
-IC-Wedge 0 Posted February 7, 2008 I have found the solution...i think. I started messing with a new island and when definig my road it was coming up with the "points error" like in the old version of V3. I uninstalled V3 and redownloaded the latest version of the editing suite to ensure mine was not currupt. I then installed only Visitor and the BI Drive from the suite and voila.... loaded up my Problem map and my roads were again visible and editible.. :-) I hope this helps someone out if the same proble occurs.
