The rifle used in Shooter movie Well I love that gun and I was thinking about it, but I have seen a model almost complete in the WIP forum, some time ago. I am thinking about building the AR-50 or maybe the Tac-50 ( MC Millan's) after this baby, but let's see if I am able to put this ingame, first. GodHammer 0 Posted February 9, 2008 Pistol grip, monopod added, reworked back part, need just to add a couple of things and some details. Then texture. This is just a try, do not be worried, I'm gonna paint it in desert camo like the ones used in Afghanistan. So far model is 7363 faces, mix of triangles and polys. GodHammer 0 Posted February 25, 2008 While building up various LODs for my Windy, I modeled also a magazine pouch to hold the bigger caliber ammos. I found some references on the Net, and this is what I made for the moment. Camouflage displayed is Digicam, but it can be whatever you want, I saved a neutral pouch where I can add all the patterns you may want or need. Ok, I am building up a whole sniper for my .50 Cal rifle, this is just a piece of his equipment. As long as I finish it all I'll add a normal map too, this is just a plane TGA. Also remember that M200 CheyTac technology is able to shot very accurate from distance longer than 2000 meters. It's more accurate than M107 Barrett. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
GodHammer 0 Posted March 20, 2008 Sure, it would be a great entry, also considering the large number of sniper-related addons ( wind deflection, elevation adjustements...) avayable for the community. The Chey Tac is probably the most accurate rifle for that kind of sniping, but it's .408 Chey Tac and not .50 BMG. Your modle looks so much like the ChevTac you could probably just slap on the ChevTac name on it. I think the CheyTac and the Windrunner .50 look a lot alike. Anyways that looks great. Real nice job. Vultar 0 Posted March 21, 2008 Well, yeah. M200 CheyTac is not .50(12,7mm) but 10.36 mm... It's perfect gun because lower weight doesn't affect on power and because of it's speed wind doesnt affect on bullet. So this time wind deflection will be useless. Texture is almost complete, needs just minor fixes.I have to say that I am not so happy with my Nightforce, I am thinking about modeling a better one with a new UV map. Aimpoint is helping me a lot with testing, so I think we are almost getting there.Thanks Alex About Barrett, I don't know if there are any good fixes for distance, I found it really imprecise. I am going to build up a Model 95 sooner or later, I am collecting hi-res pictures and blueprints. Also, when I'll be able to edit configs, I'll give a try and fix Model 107 too If any other wants to try, I'll be grateful, because I use snipers usually. Cheers, GH.
