stompy 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Used to happen to me, sometimes gamespy plays up. I solved the prob by making sure I had the gamespy ports opened in my modem.
BraTTy 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Also consider firewall and virus program controlling your connection
Winters1807 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Winters1807 tone down the swearing please, we get the point. Lol, sry dude, was in a bad mood that nite. I have the armed assault port (2302) open, and i have no anti virus / firewalls running when i play. Does gamespy have some other ports?
Placebo 29 Posted January 12, 2008 A simple Google search of "gamespy required ports" leads to numerous links with the answer including this one. Quote[/b] ]If you are behind a firewall/proxy and are able to change its settings, GameSpy Arcade needs the following TCP ports open in order to function:- 6667 (IRC) 3783 (Voice) 27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat) 28900 (Master Server List Request) 29900 (GP Connection Manager) 29901 (GP Search Manager) 13139 (Custom UDP Pings) 6515 (Dplay UDP) 6500 (Query)
Tankbuster 1747 Posted January 13, 2008 I'm wondering if this problem is another manifestation of the dreaded Nvidia Onboard Lan issue?
kupy 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Hi again! This is a problem with my internet provider. My pings are too high (400-1000). Its a little bit complicated, because when i check my ping to server ip by comand {ping} in cmd - my pings are bests (under 100). But when i check it by comand {tracert} or by site www.network-tools.com - my pings are high. Technical support of internet provider says that they are have nothing to do whith it. Interesting that everything was fine a month ago.
Misfit Leader 2 Posted January 16, 2008 I have the same problem, but not on all servers. Few ones are getting this "?" My dedicated server got it too if i am using addons on it. At least with DrugVegetationFix i am encoutering this problem, and if i remove it from the server command line the server ping work. I don't know if it is only this addon or others can make this too.
