jasooon 0 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi I just installed Arma on an xp32 system and get an error saying 'hid.dll failure' every time I try and start Arma ? From what I can work out on my internet searches it may have something to do with a usb device or an infared device. I have an evga 8800 GTS KO 640 with the 169.09 drivers. Has anyone ever come across this error as it's driving me knuts. I have reinstalled Arma to patch 1.08 and still no joy. Thanks for your help if you can. baddo 0 Posted December 3, 2007 So what USB devices do you have? Try removing one at a time, and their drivers, and see if there is a change. What else? Try different drivers for your USB devices, newer or older.
jasooon 0 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi Baddo Yes have tried removing them/trying without and installing the latest drivers with them in, but no joy. Have a Gyro mouse, Linksys keyboard, Hauppauge HVR 4000 and a netgear wirless lan. Just wondered if anyone had come across the hid.dll crash before and what it may specifically relate to ? Thanks Jasooon
