pathetic_berserker 4 Posted November 30, 2007 I've only recently bought my second GC so have only had a couple of sessions with ArmA and SLI so far. Today I got a bit of suprise when playing the first Single player mission on the list where you attack the convoy. Â While zooming in, the screen brightened a bit then started strobing till the screen went totaly white for a second then faded back in as if I'd been staring at the sun. Sometimes it took a few seconds in zoom to happen. Sometimes the effect stopped if I stopped zooming. Sometimes it didn't and started cycling through the effect. I couldn't replicate the effect with SLI mode off. specs graphics; 2 x XFX 8800GTS 320mb in SLI GC driver; nVidia control panel 163.75 motherboard; Gigabyte-N680SLI-DQ6 soundcard; onboard realtek ALC888 CPU; intel E6700 RAM; 4G Crucial Ballistx @800mhz OS; Vista ultimate
Stag 0 Posted November 30, 2007 In your NVIDIA Control panel, set SLI performance mode to "Force Alternate Frame Rendering 1". Worked for me.
pathetic_berserker 4 Posted November 30, 2007 Thanks Wardog I did a bit more playing around with the various SLI modes and found that although I didn't get a whole lot of improvement playing with kegety's low plants in the past I get double FPS with "Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2". The down side is flickers and strobs a bit with the transition from the brief to first person. But that settles down quickly and seems to remain stable after
