Delta Hawk 1829 Posted November 24, 2007 thankyou for looking. I'm making an addon that needs to be more than 10000 polys, in fact, just 2000 more. But when it got up to 10020, OFP CTD when i try to start the mission. I delete a part that brought it to 9998 and it started. But it needs to be 12000 polys. I've heard of 24000 polys so is it something wrong with the model or OFP??? The model is a truck with a turret and is heavily animated. It has one LOD right now. And i can see it in O2. Please, any suggestion...hell, i'll even do a rain dance if it'll make it work. It's a beautiful addon that deserves to be downloaded and enjoyed by millions. Macser_old 0 Posted November 24, 2007 Well,according to Suma,the engine can handle up to 32K faces.So ye can't argue with that. The problem must be in the model itself.What lods do you actually have?Are they correctly setup? Have you re-checked the config? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Delta Hawk 1829 Posted November 30, 2007 the model is classed under 5truck but it can't be the config cuz the only thing i did was delete a few faces and it worked. Â The model it's self has only one LOD 0.000 and no shadows. Â it also has the normal geo, fire geo, memory, hitpoints, land contact, walkway, and pilot view point. Â whether it is set up right i'm not 100% sure but it worked fine up till now. Â It has about 50 animations, but they all work properly. Â The gun turret is all jacked up (it doesn't really fire), but it works the way its suppose to with no errors and no CTDs, so it's not that. I heard somewhere the number of polys vary with vehicle classes and for land vehicles it's only 10,000 but i only heard that. Â I'd really hate to have to lower the quality of this addon. was there a line u had to add to the config to make it work with more than 10,000 polys? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
