pbo about 50Mb, project about 400Mb, upload speed around 100Kbs, sorry gonne take a bit time, but please somebody explain the close texture proportion calculations, i still dont understand.

The terrain is just fantasy, havent found the best way of creating that.

Have fun, the base bmp took about 12 hours to create have fun with it.

I'm so sorry, name used in game, tummylandv1, sorry used config from diff project.

I don't think it's a very realistic idea using real life satellite imagery due to the engine limitation of max 4 detail textures per segment, only way would be to use a very monotonous image. I wonder how VBS2 solves this:

I'd imagine the transition between Sat to Detail looks a bit akward if they're also limited to 4 detail textures.

Hope ArmA2 engine can handle more.

No different than with Arma. The only 'difference' is that the sat and layer mask's are 'scary'-big. Up close, yeah you're down to just detail textures, then it's a matter of creating, selecting, and matching as appropriate. Plus that map you pointed to is a smaller size map, so it can handle proportionally higher detail than a larger map.

Good to know, was expecting you to comment on that. biggrin_o.gif
