Sgt.Wolf 0 Posted September 2, 2007 Hi again. Will Armed Assault run under a Mac without any problems, or are the two completely incompatible (to even the hardware)? You see, my PC just died (catastrophic hardware failure, so not feasible to repair for its 'value' and I'm looking at getting a replacement. By the way, I can say that there's plenty to give headaches when it comes to new hardware these days when compared to five or more years ago.
binkster 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Possibly if you have windows installed on a mac. They make drivers now for this. Not sure with the performance but one of my friends has a mac and can play any game through windows.
wex-q 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Why Mac at the first place? You really need it? I mean, PC is cheaper when compared how much it costs to buy the same hardware, Mac just takes some cash for the design and the Apple-logo on the back. Otherwise, you could have a Mac and use BootCamp with WinXP or WinVista, which would let you run a Windows OS whenever you wish to play ArmA. But I don't think that ArmA runs with OS X, barely any game does (except WoW, but that's not a game, it's more like an addictive drug )
Balschoiw 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Last time I got a query about this the problem was that DirectX and Direct3D were not working on MACs. I´m not sure about Arma but 3D applications using Direct3D for their output exe´s didn´t work on MACs.
