"Bad Version" when joining multiplayer server with

Ive recently purchased a new PC and installed Arma ver 1.08.5263 on this PC.

Basacly, I installed the German DVD version, applied the 1.05 int. patch, then the 1.05 -> 1.08 patch, wich has always worked fine on my old PC.

However, when trying to access our Clan's server, I get a message saying "Bad connection, connection refused by server".

Now this is odd, as the very same game with the very same update files works fine on my old PC and joins our clan server just fine.

Can anyone come up with a reasonable explanation to how this can be??

Intel Core Duo E6850 @ 3 Ghz

RAM 4 GB (hampered by crappy Vista 32 OS, so only 2 GB usable. 64 bit version is on the way, though)

Why would it not? If I turn my Firewall settings onto highest I can still see all the Servers, just not connect.

However, If I drop the security settings down a notch I can see them all and connect to them ...

well, its not the firewall, okay? Arma is on the exception list...

The "Bad Version" message will also be shown when the server

has equalModRequired active and you try to contact with a

different set of modfolders.

So try joining without any modfolders/addons, if you didn't do so yet.

I've tried that as well..

My addons are exactly the same as those of our server.

As I said earlier, i have two identical ArmA versions on 2 different PCs. One work, the other don't.

(and no, im not logging on to the server with both at once)

Hold on.. i may have a solution...

problem solved. it was an mod issue
