Iron+Cross 0 Posted August 29, 2007 So here's the question will all the hard work we all do be waisted by BIS's quick rerelase of arma? because 1# I cant afoard Expansion packs & then a new game within 6 months..(tight Budget) 2# I dont want to spend months (hundreds of hours) of work on arma addons just to have to start from scrach on Arma 2... So will the content i make & others make now be useable with little or NO changes in arma 2?
mrj-fin 0 Posted August 31, 2007 The videos we have seen so far tell that graphics engine is likewise the chnages might happend in configs so it wouldnt be so big that your work to arma goes to waste. I hope to see that BIS will make at least then some arma-arma2 addons convertor.

smellyjelly 0 Posted September 22, 2007 BIS already confirmed that addons from Arma could be ported to Arma2 easier than OFP to Arma, I believe.
Chip360 0 Posted September 25, 2007 BIS already confirmed that addons from Arma could be ported to Arma2 easier than OFP to Arma, I believe. And you are most certainly right, dont sweat it IronCross. Quote[/b] ]EditingGood news for all the creative people around is that it will be very easy to port any custom work from ARMA to ARMA 2, much easier than from Operation Flashpoint. Some of the editing tools (Oxygen 2 + Visitor 3) are already released as release candidates, some other are getting close to release - we intend to release the entire pipeline (including data packing and addon signing tools) very soon and to make a final polished release of the entire tool suite in the next few weeks.
