Does wind effect ballistics in ArmA?

.561 mils, baby. That's a 276mm group at 500 meters.

That's hardly relevant. The MP5 was always known for its

single shot accuracy but that thing isn't an ordinary,

"straight off the production line" SMG and I'll bet it isn't firing

ordinary govt. issue ammo either. The long barrel alone makes

a huge difference. 100 yards is pushing it with an ordinary

SMG - which is why they are obsolescent nowadays.

The HK94 was a semi auto only mp5, exclusively sold in the united states. It was intended for the civilian market. To comply with the local laws there, the barrel had to be extended to 16 inches, and it had to be restricted to semi auto only. There wasn't anything remarkable about it. The sg-1 package was quite rare but only included the claw mount, the scope, the flash suppressor, and the bi-pod.

As for the ammunition, I don't know, but it's not like this thing is some kind of super-modified-elite-sniper business, so I don't think the use of special ammo is a sure thing.

I don't know what you think I was trying to say, I was just replying to someone asking us to imagine sniping with an mp5. Some people do or have done so in the past. In fact, with a 16 inch barrel, the mp5 is more accurate than the m16a2 with a 20 inch barrel! This is not so surprising given the excellent first round accuracy that you cited. With the more standard 8 inch barrel the full auto version of the mp5 grants you an accuracy of 1.5 mils. .25 mils more than an m16a2, according to this source.

This was a light-hearted answer to a light hearted postulation. I'm not sure I could meet your standards for relevance and seriousness in that situation, but I hope the above explanation doesn't strike you as total lies.
