Decicated server Without game installed

Is there a way to host a server without having the game, we've been trying this and looking on the wiki and everything to get this up and we haven't found a solution. Does anyone have a step by step or this?

Where do i get them. Sorry if i'm asking noob questions, we've spent hours trying to get our server up. Does it have to do with that arma_server thing?

you can upload a Arma image file to youre server mounth it with demon tools and install it.

what about when the patch comes out?

Problum is with that dedicated 1.08 you have to export youre registry key from youre pc to the server. or els it wont patch make sure the Path is named the same so if you have the us on youre pc rename the Bohima Interactive to arma a

but the guys who made that dedicated server.zip its not offical it has Missions folder thats useless and campanes folder that useless and arma.exe so if u look @ it it is warez
