hypno toad 0 Posted July 26, 2007 I am currently fiddling with the pbo's, seeing what is inside them and what not, I came across the texture file inside core.pbo, and I found a p3d file. I have no idea what that is, but I assumethat is where the textures are. How do I get that file out of core.pbo without fucking anything up? Also, I would like to know what file format the textures are in, and whether or not I can use corel draw to edit them.
hypno toad 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Is the p3d a texture file? surely someone can answer me that. If it is what do I use to edit it?
thepiespy 2 Posted July 26, 2007 no, i believe that is the 3D model, go into the data subfolder of the .pbos and you should see the texture files, which are .paa. Usually the main textures for the weapons are called WEAPONNAME_co.paa Hope this helps, as i too am learning texturing. when you get around to actually doing it, i suggest checking out this website: http://www.sourceblog.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=32 good luck! hypno toad 0 Posted July 26, 2007 Any idea where I could find the player skins, like sla, and racs. And what program should I use to edit them?
thepiespy 2 Posted July 26, 2007 they should be in the characters .pbo "data" subfolder, not sure what there named tho. as far as programs, Adobe Photoshop is the only one i know of, they offer a 30-day free trial which is pretty much the full version at there website. you'll also need a .paa plugin so you can open the .paa files. Ketegty's is found in his ArmA tool pack here: http://www.kegetys.net/arma/ hope that helps.
