Mike51 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Being it only the first day with this game, I've wandered into a lot of bugs lately (yes, i got the latest patch...i could swear it got worse too) One of those bugs happen to just ignore my high settings (my PC can handle it, yes) and turn things into crappy polygons with no textures. After a cutscene, happens...during a battle, does it again. The only way to get it back is to get to the settings and change the settings quality back and forth, which solves the problem temporarily. Just can't seem to enjoy that promising cutscene if i see an boxes for cars rolling down the street with polygonal people strolling along I hope you guys can fix this real soon, along with freezing after i die/trying to skip cutscene. Ignoring the many unfortunate bugs, this game is awesome.

NeMeSiS 11 Posted July 24, 2007 Probably overheating, open your case and put a fan like this in front of it. If the problem doesnt occur anymore you know its overheating.

maddogx 13 Posted July 26, 2007 I also have the freeze problem when I press ESC and when I die. It's annoying. You can temporarily fix it by plugging your USB mouse+keyboard out and in again while the game is running. I have not yet heard of a real fix, or even what causes the problem. Hopefully it helps  You can try reinstall the game and redownload/install the patches. You can also try the latest official beta forceware 162.18 available here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_rel70betadriver.html --- Check if there are newer drivers for your soundcard. http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ Download latest OpenAl driver: http://developer.creative.com/article....&aid=46 If that all does not help, disable your X-FI soundcard and use (for testing purpose) the onboard sound. --- Update your directx version: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx?displaylang=en --- Hope that helps.
