Multiple drops arrays from a single Logic?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I want to run multiple particle effects from a single gamelogic _OBJ.

Anyone a bit flash in this area ?

I'd like to have more than one or two particle effects coordinated around a limited area and scripted into a series of events.

I tried using various ideas, but these all led back to having 1 gamelogic per drop effect, which is a bit of a shitter really.

I could create a good simluation of my goal by using loads of GL's but would rather run them all off setpos'ing from as few as possible.

Does this make any sense to anyone ?

Lol,hopefully it does to you!

I don't know anything about creating particles, I do know particles tend to get into my nose sometimes making me sneeze thats all.

But, the gameLogic, is it there for you to get a position or what?

If so, you could randomize the position array with some value, either in a preset way, or calculating them from the current heading(dir) of the game logic.

Yeah,I setpos these PS's around a point - thats cool but I have to have a Gamelogic for every single PS I want to place.

I see what you mean though as it saves having multiple markers placed.

Is this a limitation for arma then ?

I know that PS's can have 2 layers of effects such as flame and smoke from the same PS,though can I have multiple effects running from only 1 Gamelogic?

Maybe still too early for that much intel regarding this then?

Cheers,

SSD
