Col.Flanders 0 Posted June 28, 2007 Hi, My local community's online server is currently set to deny users running addons. A good thing for obvious reasons but I'm wondering whether it is possible for the server to allow specific addons, for example the FDF soundpack alone? I just tried that soundpack last night and it's a crying shame that we can't play online with this - it completetly lifts the game. So, for example: ServerCheck-user1 - "you have FDF soundpack1.1. You're okay, buddy. Hop onboard." ServerCheck-user2 - "you have haxOr_pack1.0b. Care to take a running #$&^ off at yourself? ktnxbye."
Col.Flanders 0 Posted June 28, 2007 I heard that just by copying the FDF pbo's into the ArmA addons folder it should work. Anyway, I'll try it later when I get a chance and report back to my very empty thread. *cricket chirp*

Col.Flanders 0 Posted June 28, 2007 super64 from the Euro forums? Hi! I believe I saw you join our server for a little while the other night (well, it was probably daytime for you) SGS server in South Africa. Anyway...I can say this much: I've been assured by some of our regulars that what I posted previously does work online. I think this has to do with the fact that FDF is a client-side mod running on Vanilla ArmA. It still doesn't answer the original question though - of whether a server can be selective in what it allows and what it doesn't.
