Törni 0 Posted June 28, 2007 I have tried to make a 256x256 .paa file with alpha channel for several days. But I just won't succeed. This ridigilous. So far the methods I have used: - Kegety's plug -> save as - Coversion from 32.bit Targa with alfa-channel with .paa tool and the same with Kegety's The texture just shows up as a grey box or won't load into game at all. I have tried all the tricks: alfa channel, converting background to a layer, deleting holes to a transparent layer, masks etc. The original file is 8bit RGB file. It should work
[aps]gnat 28 Posted June 28, 2007 PaintShop Pro 1 - open the jpg in a paint prog 2 - save as uncompr 24bit TGA file 3 - use magic wand to select the background only as mask 4 - invert the mask 5 - slect "save mask to alpha" 6 - save TGA again 7 - open TexView 8 - open TGA file with TexView (background should be a grey colour) 9 - select save, change file name from .TGA to .PAA 10 - done EDIT: Note: TGA file must be save as 24bit (with alpha channel) and UNCOMPRESSED
