How do beat Red Hammer mission Marooned?

Almost half of Red Hammer missions are impossible. I beat the soldiers at the camp and the patrol but no airbase. I destroy the vulcans but there is to many soldiers.

That is a tough mission. Try and take out the Vulcans from as far away as possible. then slowly work your way closer to the base taking out anyone you see. There are guys on the far side of the base too so keep them in mind. Even when you think the base has been cleared out be careful, when you go into it there is still one or two guys hanging around the buildings who can't be seen from outside.

There is another base in the east. It's much less defended and you can capture a small fast chopper there.

For some reason the vulcans won't shoot at the chopper so you can easily destroy them.

you still have to capture the other (large) chopper in the northern base. Just land there and be quick.

Cobras are at the airport, yes. But there's still much ore fun if u destroy the vulcans and kill all soldiers. It's easy. When u start your mission go forrowd woods. Turn left. You'll soon see fire and 4 soldiers there. Take them out, then take a LAW Launcher and M16 (if u want). Kill the patrol first, then kill the soldiers a the base, then destroy the vulcans with Law's. Take the chopper and have fun.

I did it almost the same way, only I took out the vulcans first form great distance with the LAW. Needs a little bit practise but it works if you know how much higher you have to aim.

I killed the soldiers in the base always by long distance shots, too. Use your binocs so noone can suprise you. Stay prone and take the M16s from the dead enemy patrols outside the base. And take your time, no hurry

I just waited for the patrolling soldiers to go away, and then placed some satchels near the first vulcan. Then i crawled into their base, and when near the chopper i fired a LAW to the other vulcan, and detonated the satchel. Quickly i got into the chopper and took off. I did it in one try

First i tought they would shoot down the chopper, but i survived.......

Yea, It's easy to fire with LAW far away from the target. the only problem is that you need to be quick. Soldiers will nothest you even if you'll be 200m or more away.

And i'm playing with super AI option on. They're a lot more skilled with super Ai option on. I tested. In pathfinder. When super AI was off enemy was just running away from me, with super ai on enemy started to shot at me. Well. That's it. They're more skilled because their skill is set to 100%.

Respect!!! I play in veteran mode and some of the Red Hammer missions are hard like #### in that mode.

But with Super AI on... WOW!!!

Maybe I`ll give it a try too, if it`s not too unfair

I'm playing in veteran mode too, afcourse. I don't like cadet. Veteran is so fun. cadet is for cadets.

This is the mission were you must steal the mi-17, right? I just killed 2 guys that are near the start, picked up the g36 and a law, blasted the vulcan and sniped all the soldiers in the base. The same thing works in the next mission.

Just crawl up to the helicopter, watching for patrols and the vulca spotting you. Get in, take off and proceed to frag everything in sight.
