Blue Screen Of Death!!

Well im getting the blue screen then a reboot directly after, doesnt even stop on the bluescreen. I'll be doing whatever, then bang it just reboots.

It ONLY does this in multiplayer. I've played single player for hours and hours. I tried searching to no avail.

I bought the download version from direct2drive, then patched to 1.08

These are a nightmare to troubleshoot, so if you guys could help me along that would be great. I was kinda hoping its a known issue of some sort i couldnt find. I know wishfull thinking. Anymore info you need let me know.

I'm off to do the regular, update every driver, defrag, blah blah regular maintence.

Drivers are a good start but don't forget BIOS and chipset driver update.

The HD defrag if you ask me won't help too much

in case of a BSOD but you'll never know if you didn't

try at least.

Also if nothing of that works you could try to disable the

soundcard to at least be able to exclude components from

being the reason.

you should disable the automatic reboot to be able to see what the blue screen sais. You can do this by going to the control panel, and there to system. There you go to "advanced" and then startup and recovery settings. There should be a phrase saying automatic restart, and just uncheck it. If you get back a blue screen, you can just write down what it says, and then reboot manually.

without the error there are thousands of possibilities... although if it's only in multiplayer it might be caused by a firewall or something.

I never knew about that option, that should make things easier. Also disabled multi OS selection, thanks.
