dmarkwick 261 Posted June 12, 2007 Working on a simple addon which makes some vehicles give off thick black oily plumes of smoke. One thing I noticed was that the smoke effects I apply seem to be unaffected by distance, giving the plumes a high contrast compared to the landscape & objects around it. BIS problem, or my problem? mcnools 62 Posted June 12, 2007 Hm, well, I do think that there's some way to make smoke affected by distance-fog, like the smoke of vehicles etc. Haven't noticed the bug your'e having on them, so, yes, it should be possible. I can't really help you though, I'm basicly writing because I must say it'll look brilliant when you get it to work correctly will be awesome for burning oil-fields. BraTTy 0 Posted June 12, 2007 Looking good ! I don't think you can change view distance on objects like that. Only suggestion is maybe tone it lighter it wouldn't look so dark.

sakura_chan 9 Posted June 13, 2007 Its an old bug that ofp had. Quite often in missions you can spot moving vehicles or landing choppers that are beyond the view distance because their effects are rendered until the horizon.
