Problem: Moveindriver + Waypoints

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Ive got a mission, with 4 players who are in a boat by moveincargo command.

I want an AI crewman to drive the boat to the shoreline on mission start, so ive got the AI crewman to moveindriver boat1.

But once i move him in, any waypoints which the crewman are given in the editor are not responded to :S He does nothing lol. Im guessing its cause he is now the driver of the vehicle, so i would have to give the vehicle a waypoint, but it wont let me as the vehicle itself is spawned as empty and the occupents moved in cargo/driver.

So i need to get the crewman to drive the boat to the shore after moveindriver command.

Cheers smile_o.gif Hope im clear!

Hmm i'll give it another try but i did it exactly the same as it is there.. except i had other units in cargo...

Thanks a lot for your response though smile_o.gif

EDIT: Still doesnt work :\ got a screenshot to show you...

The only difference is i have other units in cargo :\

EDIT: Tested without any other units in cargo and it works :\ is this an ArmA bug then??? Cause its fairly irritating that it works without any other units in cargo but not when there are some people in cargo? :|

EDIT: Seeing as there doesnt seem to be a workaround.. is it possible to set all of the units to moveindriver... but if there is a driver in there already, then they move into cargo?

Cause otherwise when in multiplayer, if someone doesnt take the driver spot then there will be no driver assigned to the boat.

Cheers smile_o.gif All help appreciated!

FINAL EDIT: Found the issue! The boat was too far from shore for the AI to want to drive! Its sorted now! Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.
