General Lag 1 Posted February 21, 2002 It seems as if networking is not quite the most important issue, altough very important indeed. To say it point blank, even C&C, wich is considered crapy what goes for netcode and physics, perfroms slightly more intresting then Flashpoint I think. General Lag 1 Posted February 22, 2002 So, it looks like physics is the winner. 3d engine and gui is of no intrest, but Networking and addons have some sympathy. They choice could be, to Make networking and addons come true, to the price that physics does not get fixed. Or physics get fixed and you can ignore the other intrests for now. General Lag 1 Posted February 24, 2002 Oh man, this topic seems to be a constant burner, but the votes seem to drop quite a bit at the moment. So everybody, plz vote. Word about resistance, I think they will have a very very hard start this time with their product. Because in very little time from now to Summer, a whole ton of great games will show up, wich could proove superiour to flashpoint in every aspect. I would wish that flashpoint stays the coolest military simulation, but I don't know. I don't know even If I want to play military simulations anymore. GT Kakarot 0 Posted February 24, 2002 yes, the physics needs some work, but i think the networking needs a lil more work...1.42 pretty much killed me riding in vehicles with other people..especially helos...98%of the time i get in a helo now(1.42) i get this 10 sec move, then 10 sec freeze stuff, and it lasts the rest of the game...as long as i dont get in anythin with other people i am fine, which really SUCKS..i know its not game physics cause it doesnt do the same when i play it single player..i know im not the only one either.. -kak Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Networking... well, when you think about it, theres nothing they can do. Well there is, but it would waste time and resources. 9Think about it, OFP was NEVER meant to be multiplayer.) Some new Vehicles and Wepons would be REAL nice. GUI: nah, we don't need it. Nice poll with some good choices, you obviously thought this out for a while. GJ! At the moment I am not able to play this game at all since I just bought a router for my network with a hardware firewall build in. I opened up all the neccesairy ports according to Codemasters web-site and the settings are right in gamespy. Still unable to play the game on the net. I got ADSL 1024 KB's and it worked fine before I had a router/firewall. PLZ ADD Support for it. I cant disable the firewall since its hardwared. My DMZ host is enabled. Jeeps doing sommersaults and landing with no damage is a bit annoying, cute, but unrealistic. On the same note, dropping, unable to connect, or hanging is probably a better, word is just as annoying. I hope we will hit 200 votes with this topic, but I don't know. ( slowly I begin to think that people are making new acounts, only to vote again in this topic ) What is a bit unfair for the developers is that if we want the physics improoved, we do also want netcode improoved. Physics in single player runs much better then in MP, and this not without reason. So if the demanding majority is asking for physics, they also got to fiddle around with the netcode.
