AI Plane Wont Engage Targets???

so, i have a plane with GBU's. not the a10, and it flies, i set a waypoint on the tank, and it just flies strait over it.

what am i missing here? ive been trying for agies

GBU is a lazer guided bomb. Since the AV8's don't have proper equiptment on them, you need someone down on the ground to use the lazer thing to laze a target. I believe then, the AV8 will be able to drop his bombs guided onto your target. OR, you can go the (maybe) harder route, and use scripts ect that are already out there to have the jet just drop the bombs and tweak it till the bombs actually land on ur target. Good Luck

They should if they see them.

the Cobra atleast engages infantry with the MG, or with rockets if the pilot is a "waster".

Sometimes the pilot commands his gunner to use the incorrect type of weapon.

i.e.

Not using guided missiles at Shilkas making the chopper an easy target.

To force the chopper to use a specific weapon use:

selectWeapon

Not to try to dodge answering you, but I suggest you search this very forum for:

"Laser AND designator"

or

"lazed AND target"

or

"laser AND guided AND bomb"

as it has been mentioned a couple of times.

hint:

Make sure you select "Search From: this year, and newer"
