BF2_Trooper 0 Posted May 28, 2007 I know how to assign teams to be red, green or whatever, but how do I then go about selecting each team instead of the entire squad?

BF2_Trooper 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Or, SHIFT + *TEAM* "F-key" Leader. If F2 is the Blue Team Leader, press SHIFT+F2....Syn... Oh okay, thanks guys. But now how do I assign team leaders or do team leaders get assigned automatically?
chris3270 0 Posted May 29, 2007 There really is not a team leader. You still maintain control, the assigned team just moves as one group to the waypoint you assigned to them. The leader is only as a reference for you to slect the team.
frederf 0 Posted May 29, 2007 The leader of the fireteam (again, the guy at the center of the formation which all members will attempt to stay with) is the lowest numbered player of the highest rank in that team. Say if team blue has members: 4: Private 5: Sergeant 6: Sergeant 7: Private #5 will be the team leader. He wins the rank-tie with #6 because his number is less. whisper 0 Posted May 29, 2007 nope, they will form around you when you tell to X soldier (it's completely independant of their team) to move to a position Y, one of them (using the rule described by Frederf above) is becoming the "formation leader" and the other in the formation will form around him, using the formation scheme you ordered for the whole squad. Once you tell everyone to return to formation, you become formation leader again and they form up around you. Team selection is independant of all this, it's just a way to select specific soldiers faster. Which means you cannot have your squad following you in team formations, unfortunately. To do it, you'll have to manually designate each move point to each team, one after the other ("Team red, move to bush, 11 oclock", "team green, move to 10 30", etc...)
