Friendly tags without cross hair?

Does anyone know if it is possible to have friendly tags on in a dedicated server that has weapon cross hair off.

After some testing we've found that the two are directly related - you have to have the cross hair on to get friendly tags to show.

Anyone know if there is a way to change this?

Try options/difficulty.

I tried numerous combinations in the servers armaprofile, and the only time the tags disappeared while friendly tags were enabled was when I disabled the weaponcursor/aiming reticule.

The problem seems to be that the tags show up where your cursor is. When there is no cursor, the tags won't show up.

It would be nice if tags could show for units in the center of the screen or something like that - maybe only if you click reveal.

Tried that before i posted, did not work. Also tried changing it in the options settings in-game, no luck also.

Does anyone know if these are not directly related to each other or if there is a work-around.
