Me and my team have been editing a mission for a while. tonight when i was previewing the mission and then back to the editing screen the contunie and previre button have gone. so noew i cannnot edit the mission please help

Have you placed more then 144 different groups (no matter how many groupmembers they have) of 1 side?

Please explane - groups there are more then likly over 144 objects each side. in terms of troops there might be it is a large mission. But it was working fine i was jsut adding some waypoints and when i went abort the preview botton had gone.

Well AFAIK the only time when the preview button dissapears is when you have placed too many groups.

have you made sure that you didnt accidently delete the ' player ' unit? if there isnt a player controlled unit there wont be a preview button either.

thanks for the advice - i had merged the mission so was well over the 144 mark. but thanks again.

Doesn't merging take away which unit is designated the Player?

144 groups means 144 "squads" not objects.

It sounds indeed like there's no player unit present.

When merging the player unit of the mission to be imported

into the present one, will be changed automatically into

non-player unit.

Same happens when you try to copy/paste a player unit.

In OFP there was also that problem that when adding a

13th unit to a group, the preview button disappeared.

After ungrouping or deleting the one unit too much, you

had to at least double click any unit to enter it's options,

to bring back that preview button.
