shav4life 0 Posted April 29, 2007 hey guys. Â my friend has a 7900gtx card and he normally puts his pc to sleep instead of shutting it down. Â today all of a suddon the pc would not come out of sleep mode. He unpluged everything and tried to turn the pc on but the lights would blink once and the pc wud go off. Â the monitor would not even come out of standby mode, as if no signal ever went to the monitor. we replaced the graphic card with a 7900gs and the pc is working fine. Â we put the 7900gtx in my pc and does the same thing. so we are suspecting the problem lies with the 7900gtx. Â any idea what could have gone wrong with it? can it be repaired? anyway to diagnose it?. Â i know this is probably not the best place to ask but any help is greatly appriciated. Â thanks

shav4life 0 Posted April 30, 2007 i talked to nvidia and they are asking me to roll back to older drivers, what are they thinking? i told them the pc goes dead when this card is installed and they say might be driver issues. this is the worst response i got from a technical support person, well maybe after talktalk. W0lle 1052 Posted April 30, 2007 Contact the dealer from where you have purchased the card in the first place. Or the manufacturer of the card if the first doesn't work out for whatever reason. Besides this, you should discuss this in the PC Discussion Thread Closing.
