player management

If we're running a private OFP game - ie using remote IP to connect, how come others are still finding the game?

I assume ofp is still broadcasting and gamespy/ allseeing eye is picking this up. If so is there a way to prevent the broadcast of the game.

What is the best way to manage joiners - other than the "kick/ban" options once you're in the game it's self? - is there a way for the hoster (non dedicated server) to say who can /can't play in the lobbies? or passwod protect the game.

We had the situation over the weekend where a couple of plonkers joining and simply won't follow leaders orders - ruining well thought out strategies and hence the game for others.

Previously I've never experienced the joining of "unknown" players.

Are you running a dedicated server or is another squad member hosting on his pc? Just password protect the server in the server.cfg file if your running a deddy, if another member is hosting, I don't think you can assign a password, but I could be wrong.

To disable automatic broadcasting to Gamespy Arcade add following line to your Flashpoint.cfg file:

reportingIP="";

See readme file for more information.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've edited the flashpoint.cfg file so the game is not broadcast and problem resolved.
