frederf 0 Posted March 20, 2007 The Javelin also has two modes of fire in real life, direct and top down which is simulated quite nicely in America's Army. This is certainly doable in the ArmA engine with a three-stage rocket profile. Stage 1: Low velocity ejection Stage 2: Main motor burn and climb at preset angle Stage 3: Active seeking of locked target (would come in from above). If BIS would be so kind as to program this (and a nice way to switch modes, probably the standard "F" key like burst and semi in rifles) then such modes could also be used with TOW missles fired from AH64s and the like. Speaking from an economy of effort standpoint, the more uses a new feature has the better.
urbanwarrior 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Laser guidance is there but no worky works fine for me, been using it in virtually every MP mission VCB play. By laser guidance do you mean LGB's because i haven't tried it in mp yet but i've been trying to get the AI to pilot the harrier and drop the LGB on my target which i'm lighting up with the laser but i haven't had any luck, they just fly around untill i hear "2 is DOWN" and i've been trying since the first UK release, pain in the balls. Tried this with a mate in mp last weekend where he painted the target and i bombed it with the LGBs. Quite some fun i can say
