Is there a way..

Recommended Posts

To place damaged/destroyed vehicles on the map so they show the burned out texture, and or, don't explode causing damage to the units around them?

I'm sure there is a JEEP WRECK under the OBJECTS tab you could use.

there are quite a few wrecks to choose from.

browse to the "empty" and then "objects" category when choosing a unit to place and they should show up. dunno if the various editor addons add any, too...

you have to have at least one "regular" unit placed to be able to see them i think.

just place the vehicle in teh map editor, and set it's "health" to zero.

The explosion caused by a vehicle is based on it's fuel and ammo loads. Set the ammo & fuel to zero as well as the health, and it burns without any explosion.

Alright, thanks.

I know about the destroyed vehicles, but there are only so many times that the same destroyed bmp will work, and there aren't even any jeeps in the game, so a destroyed jeep placed in a sequential mission wouldn't even make any sense.

I know, but like I said in my first post, I don't want the vehicle to explode and kill everyone around it, fasad answered the question for me.

Ditto, this is what you need to do.
