If your downloding or have downloaded the 1.05 Arma Patch and DO NOT have a CD Copy. Be sure you have at least one spare activation left before installing.

Otherwise you won't be playing either version until you are issued more keys or buy another copy.

Well i dled it back in dec. and have had no probs except with aiming but got that fixed. I have a crappy set up 2

AMD athlon 64 3300+ 2.4ghz

1.5 gig ram

6200 nvidia 256 agp x8

runs great on normal for me....

My rig is amd 64 3700, 2 gig ram and GF6600gt. The performance is certainly better after patching. Aiming is a joy and has that old OFP feel to it. Download asap.

I think he was talking about downloading ArmA again (if not having ArmA's copy on CD or DVD). There are three (morphicon) downloads permitted with same code, after that you have to ask for new code.

Now my question is: Why? It should patch earlier versions to 1.05 without re-install... Right? I'm just downloading the patch so i'm not yet expert on this.

i think it applies if language patch is installed and no back up was made of replaced files then a reinstall is required ..

nearly same rig as you, get performance increase. maybe it varies for other people and you shouldn't base your own crippled experience upon others?

I backed out the language patch before patching. I DID need to reactivate the game. Therefore I would second the original warning that (at least for the Morphicon version) you should make sure you have a spare activation key before installing the patch.

I got a nice performance increase too. Must be something that you're doing wrong.

Also: i have the downloaded version and after i patched ArmA asked for my serial number and informed me that i have only 1 more activation left.

That's pretty frustrating.

I hope the next patch won't require any sort of activation.

But so far the patch itself is a real improvement on all fronts, driving is easier (i still have to move the mouse a lot but not as much atleast). LOD transitions are nicer and the AI seems a more capable.

No performance change on mine it was ment to increase more ram to be used over 512mB.  The problem now is the grapics loose textures when I use a sniper scope and the lossed sound bug is still there.  jet  ai still dont attack and some cant even start the game after the patch. Static units still don't attack Ai still aquires you too easy.
