Dedi server wont upgrade to 1.05

Our server had the ARMA folder from an installed 1.04 PC on it, as per the setup instructions for a Dedi server.

I downloaded the 1.04 to 1.05 Patch and I get an error saying that Armas not installed, which is technically true as its just a copy of the ARMA folder.

Queston is how do I upgrade the server files, without spending 2 days FTPing it up from my PC again.

You can't patch the dedicated server unless its a copy of the game. Are you using a disc at all? The one with the disc can be patched, the other one (dedicated one) can't.

Its a copy of my ARMA folder from My PC ( v1.04 ) . Which is what the instructions say to use when setting up a dedi server on another PC. No Disc has ever been inserted into the Dedicated server box.

In order to do this, you need:

1) create a registry entry so that the patch knows where is the game located. You can apply a reg file like this to get it there:

2) make sure you have the ArmA.exe from the full game in that location so that the patch is able to check which version should it upgrade from.

hello,

i just bought and downloaded the sprocket international version and installed it on my dedi box

the version is supposed to be 1.05

and no dedicated server exe included

i tried to patch with the international 1.05 patch mentioned for sprocket versions and it says arma not installed or files are maybe corrupted

Well I edited the Registry as requested, got an invalid CD key error, Edited the registry again to add my cd Key and got the install to run. Unfortunately its saying my Sara.pbo file is corrupted and I need to reinstall the game.

So, im now uploading the whole thing ( v1.05 ) from my PC again.
