shav4life 0 Posted March 2, 2007 hi, i think this is my first or second time posting here. I have a problem with the UK arma dvd. it just wont start. It starts from my mate's dvdrom which i borrowed but it wont work on mine, bear in mind tho my dvd-rom is not defective, it can play any other game or dvd that i have put on, it is also a dvd-rw. this is my system spec which i built afew weeks ago. Custom built: 4600+ x2 dual core @2.4ghz 2gb pc5300 ram 7900gs 512mb gainrdward nvidia 250 hitachi hard drive 7200rpm gigabyte sli 570 nforce mb liteon shw-160p6s dvdr/rw windows vista ultimate 32bit os no softwares such as alcohol, deamon tools or anything of that sort installed, this is a clean install of windows vista. wen i insert the dvd nothing happens, drive spins abit but says drive is empty, i right clikc on the drive icon in my computer and it says file system unkown in the properites section. i think this is related to securom but any suggestion is welcomed. thanks

shav4life 0 Posted March 2, 2007 i already have the latest firmware which is the one u sent, thanks for making the effort tho. i contacted them they are not replying, is taking them time, i think i will just buy a dvd-rom to use along with it, incase certain cds/dvds dont like this liteon. Barman31 0 Posted March 2, 2007 I have the same problem. I also have a lite-on dvd/rw. Mine is the SHM-165H6S so I'm guessing its the drive manufacturer. DVD works fine on my other comp that uses an LG dvd/rw.
