ZeuZ 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Sadly in my case ArmA doesn't work on Vista. I for one have been working the last 2 days on getting 505 version to work on my computer, which is a C2D E6600 with 2gb ram, Nvidia 7900gto and a X-FI fatality card. I allways get a ctd after the piracy check, then the screen goes black for a moment and then goes out again with the following error: Produkt ArmA Problem Handlingen blev afbrudt Dato 28-02-2007 15:48 Status Rapport blev afsendt. ZeuZ 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Well, that isn't an option for me, and it is the only app/game that dosn't work for me. I actually found the thing that made my game not responding, it seems to be the nvidia driver to my graphic card. I tried with both 100.64 and 100.65 and nothing worked. Then i tried with no driver installed, and voila, it started without any problem. It run pretty well, but i am sure it will run even better with a propor driver installed. The problem is that I dont know what is causing the CTD with the driver installed. Do any of you have a solution ?
Bob the Insane 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Have you tried the compatabilty mode thing? Set the Arma executable to run in XP compatability mode. This is of interest to me as I have only just ordered the game and I am running vista... So far I have found most dx9 compatable games do run okay...

Mr_Tea 0 Posted February 28, 2007 Arma works for me, under Vista Home Premium 32bit and Win2K Prof. SP3. Vista 64bit has the most driver related problems.
ZeuZ 0 Posted March 1, 2007 I have tried in winxp mode under vista, but that didn't seem to help. Does driver 100.65 work on other computers ?

ZeuZ 0 Posted March 1, 2007 Ok, i got it solved now. It was the AA funktion controlled directly in windows that did the problem. When i made it application controlled, the problem disapered. So now i am happy
