Gameover 0 Posted February 19, 2007 I went and got the game today, I installed it and when I click Launch I get this error. Conflict with Emulation Software detected. Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=emu&c=14000 for further, more detailed information. Then when I click the link it gives me this, Please open the EZ-Play Maintenance tool and click on the 'Deinstallation' button Afterwards, the Maintenance tool should display that EZ-Play is disabled. The settings should be similar as shown in the screenshot below. I done everything to try and find out where this EZ-Play thing is, anyone help me please. Mr Sarkey 0 Posted February 19, 2007 You would need to get rid of Daemon. Well it will take ages to go through the registry and delete every little trace. As another user has done it would easier to reformat the computer.

Jack-UK 0 Posted February 19, 2007 ...Install on a different driver? :S Dont follow sorry... You could try creating a new partition with just the necessary drivers + ArmA with a fresh install of windows XP... should be certain to increase performance too! (less background services)

psycosmos 0 Posted February 19, 2007 It's ussualy the publisher that is responsible for the copy protection used, not the developer. Well, I'm not a Fan of software that tells me what I can do and what I can't, I don't like swapping DVDs and CDs all day long, as they will get damaged over time, and there are some that I would have to change at least daily if I didn't use some drive emulation software. You can use it for bad things too, but that's not exactly my problem. And it sure as hell doesn't it make it right to just forbid them completely if you want to play a game (well, maybe it does for some managers, but it's overwritten by my common sense). I had another Software running when I tried to install the game for the first time. The install just wouldn't start without any error message untill I uninstalled the said software on suspicion and bang, it works. I'm pretty sure this happens alot, but most people just give up, bring the game back and say that it doesn't work, and rightly so. Don't give up, there is some software that works well with Securom, at least for me, but I won't name it for my own security (it makes me drunk) Also, feel free to contact the publisher (again, this here is the developers forum, it's not their fault per se) and Securom itself and tell them how happy you are about the "features" of their software. I find it funny that, with a proper key system, you won't be able to play online without a legally obtained key anyway. So why using Copy Protection? It may take 10 minutes longer till the games show up on bittorrent and it will piss off some thousands of players that legally bought the game. Great.... I'm sorry, my common sense forced me to write this, ban him! Oh, and the one DVD in my Drive is ArmA, it's in there since I bought it
LtJamesWatts 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Without having to delete all those keys manually why not use Ccleaner.
