Speeeedy 0 Posted February 17, 2007 Hello, I experience mouselag on my system making it very hard for me to aim, and making the game far from enjoyable. (505 version) I tried turning off the Vsync as described in another topic where a user had "control lag" but this does not seem to solve my problem. I also tried different resolutions and settings but this does not seem too solve the issue. Does any one else have some tips? My system specs are below in case thats important: Microsoft Vista 32 Bit AMD 4600+ X2 A8N32-SLI Deluxe Geforce 7900GT I

450R 1 Posted February 18, 2007 Try activating Coolbits (for nVidia cards only) and setting "Max frames to render ahead" to 0. Some people saw a huge improvement, though I personally didn't see any difference.
Speeeedy 0 Posted February 18, 2007 I tried installing that plugin, unfortantly with the Vista drivers of Nvidia you don't get any extra options you can configure.
I3laze 0 Posted February 18, 2007 I also get the mouse Lag to (uk versions). Tried setting video settings to lowest, worked for 5 minutes then back again. Surely my PC spec is not all that bad, or is it? NeMeSiS 11 Posted February 18, 2007 Buying a new card wont help (much), look at what 450R posted, if that still doesnt help, force vsync off as well.
I3laze 0 Posted February 18, 2007 Ok I have turned off V Sync and set 0 to render ahead. Still the same but I think my problem is not mouse lag but keyboard lag When ever I keep the w,s,a,d keys down or sprint I carry on going even though I have let go of the keys. Then it starts going crazy spinning around, looking at the floor ect, this goes on for about 10 seconds after releasing the key. It is totally unplayable Any Ideas? Nitrius 0 Posted February 23, 2007 I have mouse lag myself, sometimes more than other times, it seems to be very related to what my fps is at. Running vista x64, and the game runs okay. I know the coolbit tweak and turning vsync of has helped me before, but in vista the coolbit tweak dosen't work, and also there is been recently known that forcing vsync off trough the Nvidia control panel doesn't work because of a limitation within vista or something, only way to turn vsync off is by using ingame settings, and an ingame setting for vsync in ArmA is not existing atm. vista x64 amd64 3700+ nvidia 7800gtx 256mb 2gb ram creative x-fi xtrememusic
Jack-UK 0 Posted February 23, 2007 Vista will NOT allow you to turn off Vsync. Sorry... Its impossible :| You better hope that BIS add a vsync on/off function in ArmA... it cannot be forced off cause of Vista's graphical interface.
