Mister Frag 0 Posted February 3, 2002 Try turning off both EAX and Hardware Acceleration to see if that gets you sound. Also, run DXDIAG.EXE and test the sound subsystem -- if problems are found, you may need to reinstall DirectX and/or the sound drivers.
Placebo 29 Posted February 3, 2002 Have you upgraded to 1.42?
Kamox 0 Posted February 4, 2002 I've downloaded DirectX 8.1, (I had the 8.0) and everything is ok now. No, placebo, I don't have the 1.42 version, as I saw that the amount of patches I have to download is beyond my 56k modem possibilities... Thanks for your help, Kamox. WhoCares 0 Posted February 4, 2002 You should have asked for the Gold Edition, when you bought OFP recently. Now, if you don't want to DL all patches/upgrades buy the Gold Upgrade. It contains OFP1.30 and all Upgrades and a new Campaign (Red Hammer), so I guess it would be worth the money for you. And then you can DL v1.42 to update to the latest version. wkr WhoCares
