FLying the Choppers

Recommended Posts

Okay ive had many previous games along with countless versions of flight simulator on my logitech no model # joystick. I got this game two days ago and really love it, infantry and vehicles, well i went to do the helicopter training and had a blast with the blackhawk. But when i go to use the cobra, it flys so much more aggressivly that i am unable to use the rudder without crashing. If i change the sensitivity in the game for the joystick settings then the blackhawk will be so slow to fly, is there a newbs guide to flying??? I bought the game orignally in Czech language. So reading the manual is not an option, any tips and tricks to help me stay in the air?

Also which axis is the throttle lever on the joystick?

Mess with the sensitivity in your "user".cfg file. It's explained in this thread if you haven't seen it.

I can't remember, but I think I'm using KeyCat's settings at the bottom of page 2 (btw, thanks keycat).......

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

joystickSensitivity[]={0.600000,0.600000,0.800000,1.000000,0.800000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,0.600000,0.600000

,0.800000,1.000000,0.800000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000};

Other then that, just practice. I didn't find it too difficult flying the cobra, but I put a lot of time into flying/practicing/joyriding in the littlebird before I went to the cobra. I would say fly the MH-6 for a while in the editor and fly as low and as close to things as possible and land in tuff spaces. This is a good way of practicing, but more importantly, it's FUN! thumbs-up.gif
