MP Coop mission lag

I have made a couple missions where either;

a.) Clients complain of more lag than normal.

b.) Some clients CTD more so on my missions than others.

c.) It kills the server after a period of time. (an hour or so)

The larger mission I made was with 1.02 without any addons and the scripting is very pure and simple. One of the players suggested that I write a script to remove dead bodies, another suggested to remove all triggers and replace with loop scripts.

The smaller mission I made gave clients the same problem (minus the lag).

I added a server logic named "server" as that was suggested but it made no difference.

Does anyone have any tips for making coop missions so they run smooth? If not, I will just have to wait for a english version so I can unpbo BIS's larger scale missions to see how they do it.

PS. The dedicated server that is running this is a MONSTER! Multi cores, Gig's of RAM, 6GB upstream etc...

Thanks sickboy, I did read about spawning near water being a bad idea. In fact the first mission I made spawned the user players very close to water. The second doesn't have anyone near water.

I read another thread that talked about CTD problems with a presence trigger being placed in a specific location.

I'll just do my best to strip the mission down to isolate the root cause. I just need to find the type of arma users that seem to have this issue as others have no issues. crazy_o.gif

This game is so much damn fun.. can't wait till most of the wrinkles are ironed out! smile_o.gif

Try to figure out how much viewdistance is needed and set it to the lowest value you need in the mission.

It is done in the init.sqs
