Lolsav 0 Posted January 2, 2007 Information: This is a mission that is intended for dedicated servers. It  might work on hosted by players but the demandings are so high it requires a good server with a good connection. Its not intended to be a "serious type" of mission (whatever that means), but to be fun. The first part is actually too easy, despite the AI and players mess up. One single hint: Use the middle mouse button. I made the mission with one main goal: To be fun. So there is lots of AI for evryone, no need to rush. But timming is essencial, as reading the briefing. The first objective is to take a brigde. Satchels in ammo box are there for the job. The rest.... it comes along the way with the briefing beeing updated as mission developes. jaguax 0 Posted January 3, 2007 ^ Yeah I just played it on his server... Very cool, first part was a lot of sniping, easy enough... But 2nd part, dayum!!! We got overtaken by the AI, but it was probably the best shootout I've experienced in this game so far, just because everyeone around me was shooting and I saw bodies dropping everywhere through my sniper scope. Intense, but they eventually kicked all of our asses. Anything special happen when the mission ends? And please do make more unique missions like this! Great job dude. TrunkzJr 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Thankz for posting the map Lolsav. Busterking 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Great mission/map! Is there a glitch or is this met to be this way: After the bridge is destroyed, the second portal opens but when you get killed after that you respawn by the first portal but it never activates so we are all stuck way way off the objectives. Is there anyway of leaving the portals opened at all times?
Lolsav 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Is there anyway of leaving the portals opened at all times? First, thx for the feedback all. Answering the question: Well its not intended to have players wandering around. You do that you miss your jump, and yes you get stuck. Next time we wont have "wanderers" Ive been preparing version 1.2 that includes spectator script 1.4. Fixing some minor bugs.
Busterking 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Well I guess no one likes to be stuck. By leaving the portals opened at all times then you can make your way from one to the other and join the fight again. Being stuck at original spawn without any vehicles takes the fun out of it. Just my opinion from the feedback of the 20 players in my clan that played it. But what a script and great mission you made. You must be somekind of programmer. Again, great job.
Lolsav 0 Posted January 6, 2007 Being stuck at original spawn without any vehicles... That was a minor fix.. P.S. Im no programmer at all. Many things i achieved by trial and error. IF an expertise in scripting take a look at my own scripts he will just laugh with the mess is going on there. My goal is to make things "work" and keep on ticking
