shadow 6 Posted January 30, 2002 VBS1 is more like a upgraded OFP-engine. My guess is that IL is kinda the commercial VBS1. Meaning IL is the game with the vehicles from VBS1 that are not 'secret', or protected because of their technological state.

sgt bastard 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Hmm, looks like Seventh copied the VBS-site. They look similar in the html-code. Like: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"> <META content="VBS1 - Virtual Battlefield Systems is a Military Application utilising the most advanced 3D engine in the world for Tactical Combat Training. Oxygen is a second name for Objektiv 2 (O2=Oxygen) so Oxygen 2 is propably a typo.

superfly_bonzai 0 Posted January 31, 2002 details are fuzzy at the moment but according to http://www.operationflashpoint.cz/ IL is a stripped down version of VBS. even if we don't buy it the models in it would be very simple to port over to OPF with little or no modification.
